Item description
The stylishly compact DRAG S body incorporates a tactile soft leather grip, with the front retaining the usual metal DRAG design seen in previous models. The DRAG S can be used in both auto or manual mode to suit various vaping styles, while an interesting ‘achievement’ system ranks every vape you take, scoring you from the base level ‘Iron’ through to ‘King’ depending on how you use the device.
The DRAG S pod features a magnetic connection for easy removal and refilling, combined with a push-fit coil system for fast and efficient replacements. Design and Build Quality
The Drag S vape kit comes in seven different styles, which include the classic, carbon fiber, retro, mashup, chestnut, marsala and galaxy blue.
The mixed leather and alloy remind one of the GeekVape Aegis line. It is quite elegant and stylish. It is one of those devices that will suit every vaper irrespective of their age as long as they value class and elegance.
The buttons on the mode are sturdy and well built. There is a fire button and adjustment buttons. The device also has a 0.96” TFT screen. The USB-C port sits below the buttons.
The back of the device has a small handle that alters the airflow, which is formed by two slits on either side of the mod.
The device looks and feels great. Its flat front and round back are excellent, allowing the mod to sit comfortably in your hand.
The Pod
The Voopoo Drag Spod is made from PCTG, which is a type of plastic. The Drag S pod mod is part of the reason why this mod looks amazing. Although the pod is clear, it has a grey hue and looks like a tank. You could easily mistake it for a glass RDA. Not much has changed in this aspect other than the shape of the tank. Unfortunately, the tank does not come with a 510 connection, but Voopoo will soon release a 510 adapter for it.
Connection
Voopoo has done a great job in easing the technicalities involved with inserting the coil in the pod, then the pod in the mod. The coil is circular, so it fits inside the pod in any rotation. The pod attaches to the mod through 4 magnets placed at the bottom of the pod. The magnets are strong and connect firmly with the circular metal plate inside the mod. There are no worries about the pod coming off unexpectedly or falling off.
Charging port
The Drag S uses the more updated USB-C port. It has faster charging which means you spend less time waiting for the device to charge.
The Drag S has a 2A charge rating which is commendable. The faster the charging, the better, especially because the mod has high-capacity batteries.
Airflow
Voopoo has always innovated in terms of airflow, and the Drag S isn't any different. The airflow in this device is built into the mod instead of the pod. That allows you to control it by sliding a small handle positioned n the front of the device. The handle is easy to use but still firm enough, so it doesn't move on its own.
With the airflow fully open, the device works well enough to be a true DTL device. When closed, it works as an MTL device.
The Screen
The screen has all the information you need. In the top left, the screen tells you what system you're using. This is also indicated by the colour of the screen. When blue, you're in RBA mode, and when Red, you're in smart mode.
On the top left is the battery level indicator, just below that is the locked/unlocked indicator and in the centre is the current wattage setting. Other readings on the screen include the resistance and voltage readings.
