The chipset is Voopoo own Gene.AI chip that can intelligently identify coil and provide a 5-40w power adjustment. Just press the "+""-" keys to adjust. What's more the device can now be charged via TYPE C fast charging with a long-lasting 1500mAh no longer do you need to be left waiting without your trusty device. 

Voopoo has recognised the need for providing for the outdoorsy person amongst us and has installed a cleverly placed loop to allow for outdoor exercises that can easily be hooked onto rucksacks. 

The Argus comes with two PnP Coils 0.3ohm (PnP-VM1)  and the new 1.2ohm (PnP-TR1), which will let you feel the abundant cloud and incredible flavour brought by the PnP coil.

Quality

Pod

The Argus pod mod is a compact and lightweight device. It measures 108mm by 33mm by 30mm and weighs just 125grams. The exterior of the pod is made from zinc alloy. The general build of the device feels good and looks tactile, instilling a lot of confidence in the device.

The front face of the pod mod has a clicky fire button, large adjustment buttons and a concealed USB-C charging port. On a full charge, the device should last most vapers a day or so. Using the USB-C charging port is relatively painless, and the charging process is fast.

The pod has an exemplary GENE.TT chipset. It's an overly resource-heavy chip, especially when comparing the performance of this Argus pod and the previous version. The chip has all the standard protections and safety features of modern vaping devices.

One of the most notable features of the chipset is intelligent coil detection. The device will automatically restrict the wattage on the device based on the coil installed. This way, you don't have to worry about burnt coils anymore.

The Argus pod mod is a 40W device powered by a 1500mAh. Considering this is an MTL device, this is more than enough power.

The pod comes with two cartridges/coils. The first is the 4.5ml, 0.3ohm PnP-VM1 coil that delivers a super loose MTL vape. There's also the 2ml pod with a 1.2ohm PnP-TR1 coil. This one comes complete with an MTL drip tip. It has a much tighter draw. Regardless of the cartridge, you select, you're assured of dense clouds of vapour and commendable flavour extraction.

Lastly, the Argus pod has an aluminium hook for added convenience. You can hook the device on your belt or your bag using a lanyard. This excellent range of features makes this a well-rounded pod that you can take on any trip.

The Airflow

Air enters the coil head from the base. The bore of the coil head has some bearing on the draw. However, Voopoo has done an excellent job of cleaning up the system and giving you better control over how much air gets to the base of the coil.

The Argus has airflow slots with metallic plates on each side of the device. The metallic plates slide to close the opening. The plates are controlled by having a slot above the spine with an adjustment lever.

You can move the lever on either side to open or close the slots depending on how much air you want to get to the base of the coils.
